Nine years in the socks business. Who would have thought. Those who were watching us ten years ago researching, sampling, questioning and wearing all sorts of socks to start a socks business in Ireland definitely thought we were gone mad.
There were none Irish socks brands on the market, and your luxury stocaí were what was on shelf in River Island, if you were lucky. Socks were bought in bulk, with no more thought than they are to be worn out and forgotten.
From October 2017, the minute we launched our website, the socks could talk, which was right up the Irish chit chats alley. Did you turn off the immersion? Feck it! You are a ride or the alltime favourite Bye bye bye bye took the Irish feet here and beyond Oceans by storm.
When we produced the first 1200 pairs of socks, and looked at them on the shelves we were scared to say the least. I mean imagine - 1200 pairs of socks. To sell.
Now 9 years later, we have sold over a million socks, and I would like to say we are still the same, but we are not. We’ve grown, learned some things the hard way, smiled when we really wanted to cry, we made great friends and experienced so much kindness no words can describe. Our values, drive, and fundamentals remain the same, so I guess it’s safe to say that we’ve changed in order for our grá for Irish Socksciety to exceptionally grow and get stronger and better for the future.
