Design Your Own Socks Competition - Winner Announcement 2026

It genuinely was the toughest year so far. It took us more time, and more arguing than ever, to finally decide on the Design Your Own Socks Competition 2026 winning design. We notice the effort, the consideration of the shape of the socks, how the design is wrapped around a foot, colour palette, the ideas all entrants brought! The spread in the age group, location and nationality was really broad, and as always a beautiful proof that creativity always connects and brings the best out of us all.

And yet again, we couldn’t decide on one design, and had picked two. Which only means both of these incredibly talented artists will win the first prize: iPad, e-pencil, and their socks being added to our collection. But we also picked a number of distinctions which will receive socks subscriptions from us. And finally to thank every participant for their efforts, creativity we will post a pair of stocaí to each, and every one of you! Comhghairdeas!

"Shear Madness"

Last year I became an aunt which rekindled my love for knitting & led me to create a farm of woollen animals for my niece. This coupled with the current rise of Irish culture inspired me to include the iconic Aran cable design, and of course a pun was necessary, thus “Shear Madness” was born!

"Rí Rá agus Ruaille Buaille!” has always been my favourite Irish phrase. It's the pure, joyful chaos of friends getting together, the buzz of a wild impromptu party. That's the spirit woven into these socks. They're the perfect pair for when it's time to be the life (and sole!) of the party.
