Táilteann Games, the Battle of the Boyne and the awesome Newgrange. And of course,
it’s the same county that gave us the bould and brilliant Tommy Tiernan and Hector Ó
hEochagáin. History and hilarity; what else do you want from a county? Well, you can
always take yourself over to Slane Castle for the gig of a lifetime. We are fairly certain
that most Irish people have only four degrees of separation away from someone who
was at Slane ‘99! Come back Robbie!
Between Emerald Park, a day out at Fairyhouse or a visit Trim Castle ( where a wee
independent film called Braveheart was shot), Meath is one mighty county.
